Hindu Mothers and Imaginary Friends.

I would like to invite you to take a poll on Hindu Mothers and Imaginary Friends.

This is an unscientific poll of people with Hindu mothers, to cross-check the "scientific conclusion" found in a 2009 publication concerning children and imaginary friends across cultures. The sentence in question: "Hindu mothers discourage them [imaginary friends] because they think the companions might be manifestations of past lives and that they may take over the life of the current soul."
You may take this poll if you have had or currently are a Hindu mother. Liberated fathers also welcome :-)

Source of quote to be disclosed along with poll results. Comments appreciated.

Why have you stressed on "Hindu mothers" specifically?

Argod,
the publication in which i came across this quote included the phrase "Hindu mothers." It is not a category invented by me. The purpose of this poll is to compare the conclusion that the scholar who wrote this article reached, with the experiences of people who happen to come across this poll and think that they fit into the category of children who have (had) Hindu mothers. If you think that the category doesn't really make sense, feel free to say so; that is also a useful comment, which we may share eventually with the researcher, whose identity will be revealed here when the poll closes.

It would be interesting to know the person who voted on option 2. We would like to interact with you and learn your experience on it. Can the person please come in front :).

Thanks.
